Thursday, March 12 – Sunday, March 15 – 38th Annual St. Patrick’s “Wee Bit O’ Ireland Celebration: We are working on the 2020 schedule and will have it out hopefully by the first of February, along with the St. Patrick’s buttons (featuring the Road Bowling) shortly too ($3 each and you have a chance to win $100).
The weekend will start with Father Condon's Play on Thursday, March 12th at 7 p.m. - "St. Theresa, The Little Flower"; Friday starts a full day of activities (book sale, vendors, Irish Dinner and Evening event - Murray's Irish Beer and Wine Fest at Gilliam and Bisbee Building). Saturday kicks off with Sheep Dog Trials, crafts, walk and 5K run, St. Pat's Polar Plunge, Heppner's Irish Coffee Hour, Welly Toss competition, Cruz-In cars on display, lots of activities for young and old alike throughout the day. The Great Green parade will start at 1:00 p.m. and several evening entertainment opportunities; Old Time Fiddlers at the Fairgrounds starting at 6:30 pm; a Local Talent Show and Main Entertainment will be The Gothard Sisters at the Gilliam and Bisbee building. All of the entertainment is free due to funding by Morrow County Unified Recreation District.
The event on Sunday will start with the final Sheep Dog Trial competions and our annual Road Bowling competition will wrap up the weekend, starting at 1 p.m.
