Ione's Blues Festival and July 4th Celebration

Photo: Ione parkIone, located in the southern portion of Morrow County along State Highway 74, is the smallest of the three communities in Oregon's Willow Creek Valley, with 340 residents. Ione is proud of its rich history of agriculture, wheat and livestock. With tree-lined streets and turn-of-the-century homes, it offers a quiet, family-oriented lifestyle.

Community spirit and pride is apparent through attractive turn of the century homes, tree-lined streets, parks and businesses. The community also supports excellence in education, which is evident in its Creative Care Pre-school and the Ione Community School. Annual events, including a TV shoot and the annual 4th of July celebration, offer local entertainment throughout the year. Also contributing to Ione’s historical past is the Oregon Trail, which passes nearby at Wells Spring. All of these factors combine to make Ione a quiet and beautiful place to live and to raise a family.
